This Order may be cited as the Immigration (Control of Entry through Republic of Ireland) (Amendment) Order 1982 and shall come into operation on 1st January 1983.

In Article 4(1) of the Immigration (Control of Entry through Republic of Ireland) Order 1972, for the words “any person who is not patrial” there shall be substituted the words “any person who does not have the right of abode in the United Kingdom under section 2 of the Act”.
