This order may be cited as The Lobsters (Control of Importation) Order 1981, and shall come into operation on 3rd August 1981.

The Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food hereby designates for the purposes of this order an area consisting of all land which, being land in England, is within one mile from the high water mark of any area of tidal water designated by article 3(1) of The Lobsters (Control of Deposit) Order 1981 or within one mile of any area of inland water so designated.

The Secretary of State for Scotland hereby designates for the purposes of this order an area consisting of all land which, being land in Scotland, is within one mile from the high water mark of any area of tidal water designated by article 4(1) of The Lobsters (Control of Deposit) Order 1981 or within one mile of any area of inland water so designated.

The Secretary of State for Wales hereby designates for the purposes of this order an area consisting of all land which, being land in Wales, is within one mile from the high water mark of any area of tidal water designated by article 5(1) of the The Lobsters (Control of Deposit) Order 1981 or within one mile of any area of inland water so designated.

No person shall import into any area of land designated by article 2, 3 or 4 of this order a lobster of the species Homarus gammarus or the species Homarus americanus the deposit of which in the area of water to which the area of land is adjacent would be a contravention of article 6 of The Lobsters (Control of Deposit) Order 1981.
