This Order may be cited as the National Health Service (Standing Advisory Committees) Order 1981 and shall come into operation on 13th May 1981.

(1) The Standing Advisory Committees specified in column (1) of Part I of the Schedule to this Order shall continue to be constituted for the purpose of advising the Secretary of State on the services mentioned in column (2) of the Schedule opposite the names of the respective Committees.
(2) The Standing Advisory Committee specified in column (1) of Part II of the Schedule to this Order is hereby constituted for the purpose of advising the Secretary of State on the services mentioned in column (2) of the Schedule opposite the name of that Committee.
(3) The said services are services under the National Health Service Act 1977.
(4) Each of the said Committees shall consist of such number of members as the Secretary of State may from time to time determine.

The National Health Service (Standing Advisory Committees) Order 1949, the National Health Service (Standing Advisory Committees) (Amendment) Order 1962, the National Health Service (Standing Advisory Committees) (Amendment) Order 1966 and the National Health Service (Standing Advisory Committees) (Amendment) Order 1974 are hereby revoked.
