(1) This Order may be cited as the Customs Duties (Repeals) (Appointed Day) Order 1977 and shall come into operation on 1st January 1978.
(2) The Interpretation Act 1889 shall apply for the interpretation of this Order as it applies for the interpretation of an Act of Parliament.

(1) The repeal of the enactments specified in the Schedule hereto shall take effect on 1st January 1978.
(2) Nothing in the previous paragraph shall affect the operation of the Origin of Goods (Petroleum Products) Regulations 1977 or of any direction under section 6 of the Import Duties Act 1958.
