(1) This Order, which may be cited as the Pensions (Polish Forces) Scheme (Amendment) Order 1974, amends the Pensions (Polish Forces) Scheme 1964, as amended and extended (hereinafter referred to as “the Scheme”), and shall come into operation on 22nd July 1974.
(2) The rules for the construction of Acts of Parliament contained in the Interpretation Act 1889 shall apply in relation to this Order and in relation to the revocation effected by it as if this Order and the provision in the Scheme revoked by it were Acts of Parliament and as if the revocation were a repeal.

For Table III in Schedule (equivalent British ranks of members of the Polish forces) to the Scheme there shall be substituted the Table set out in the Schedule to this Order.
