Prom and after the first day of October one thousand eight hundred and seventy-five it shall not be lawful for any constable appointed under and in terms of the Act of the Parliament of Scotland passed in the year one thousand six hundred and seventeen, intituled " Anent the Justices for keeping of the King's Majesties " peace, and their Constables," or of the Act of the said Parliament passed in the year one thousand six hundred and thirty-three, intituled " Ratification of the Acts made in favour of the Justices " of the Peace and their Constables, and Commission to the Lords " of Secret Council thereanent," or of the Act of the said Parliament passed in the year one thousand six hundred and sixty-one, intituled " Commission and Instructions to the Justices of Peace " and Constables," to exercise any of the powers conferred on constables and peace officers by the Act of the twenty-fifth and twenty-sixth years of the reign of Her Majesty, chapter one hundred and fourteen, intituled " An Act for the prevention of " poaching."
